Italian
Migrant Histories Resource Kit
The ‘Vite
Italiane’ project collected many hundreds of oral histories of Italian
migrants in Western Australia.
The Italian Migrant Histories Resource Kit
was developed to encourage teachers and students to explore some of these
migrant stories, and provide practical assistance on how to collect oral
histories of migration.
The kit can be used as a teaching resource,
particularly for teachers of Italian or Society and the Environment. The
intended audience is Years 11-12, although teachers may adapt the material for
use by younger learners.
The kit is divided into three sections:
- Section 1: Overview of the ‘Vite Italiane’ project and Italian migration to Western Australia
-
Section 2: Migrant Stories
-
Section 3: Additional Material
