JS Battye Library of West Australian History
As part of the Vite Italiane project, we are creating a permanent archive of oral histories, photographs and historic documents relating to Italians in Western Australia at the JS Battye Library of West Australian History.
National Archives of Australia (NAA)
The NAA care for Commonwealth government records. These include documents from a range of government departments relating to Italian migration and Italian migrants from the turn of the century. The NAA are based in Canberra but have a Western Australian branch in Victoria Park. The NAA also have an online search facility which enables you to search for documents, such as ship arrival records, or photographs online.
Italian Australian Records Project
The Italian Australian Records Project aims to build a comprehensive and easily accessible collection of documents and other material relating to Italian immigration and settlement in Australia. The body of documentary records is being collected throughout Italy and Australia and has preserved on microfilm and made accessible at all IARP participating institutions and through digital access and on-line databases.
Migration Research Network
The Migration Research Network database contains information about research, records, artefacts and film footage relevant to migration, ethnicity and settlement held in Western Australia. |
