Egidio Della Franca – Reasons for leaving	Length: 7:16min
Born in Baruffini, prov. Sondrio, Lombardy in 1927. Following in his father’s footsteps, Egidio migrated to Australia in 1949. He settled in Pemberton and worked at his brother’s sawmill.

Giovanni Marinelli – Journey	Length: 6:55min
Born in Castignano, prov. Ascoli Piceno, Marche in 1926. Giovanni travelled to Australia under the Assisted Migration Scheme in 1952.

Angelina Martini – Settlement	Length: 6:56min
Born in Gallesano, Istria in 1921. Angelina arrived in New South Wales under the Displaced Persons’ Resettlement Scheme in 1950. She settled in Perth following the tragic death of her husband.

Maria Pisconeri – Work and family	Length: 7:44min
Born in Salvi, prov. Reggio Calabria, Calabria in 1928. Maria joined her fiancé in Perth in 1950. She worked in the family continental food retail business and raised four children.

Maria Raffaele – Community life	Length: 6:41min
Born in Raffadali, prov. Agrigento, Sicily. Sponsored by her father, Maria arrived as a 14-year-old in 1955. She lived in Calingiri and Perth before settling in Fremantle. Maria is in the ‘Gioie delle Donne’ choir.
